This NFL Coach Was Forced To Sell His House. Learn More.
The Head Coach of Detroit Lions was forced to put up his home for sale after the location of his home was leaked. NFL is one of the most loved sports leagues in the country and has millions of fans. However it is quite surprising when an NFL Coach claims that he is forced to sell his home.
Dan Campbell has been the Head Coach of Detroit Lions since 2021 and had led his team to top position in the National Football Conference (NFC) north last season. The Lions have seen marked improvement in their performances in NFL under the leadership of Dan Campbell. He is known to have a more hands on approach in his style of coaching.
Sports teams receive a lot of love and adulation from their fans after wins. However the fans can also get very upset if their teams meet with losses. The Campbell family lived in a beautiful home but was forced to sell after facing harassment from fans.
The ordeal grew more particularly after losses faced by the Lions. In view of the safety and security of his family, they decided to put up the property for sale. Several fans kept visiting the home of the NFL Coach and the family also claimed to have received a lot of prank calls. As Dan Campbell would be travelling a lot with the team it would not be possible for him to ensure safety of his family in such a situation.
According to the realtor Ashyley Crain it is a “7,800-square-foot Cape Cod-style mansion”. As per reports, Dan Campbell his wife and two children would prefer to live in a property that is not so easy to locate. Celebrities are showered with a lot of attention and eventually they become accustomed to it. However the same cannot be said for their family members who sometimes struggle to adapt to the widespread attention.
As per information from Zillow the five-bedroom, seven-plus bathroom home set on 1.72 acres sold was acquired $3.5 million in March 2021 and had appreciated by $1 million over the period of 2 years in market value.
The house was known to have a history with the Lions and it is obvious that it would generate tremendous interest from Lions fans who would like to own such a property. Within 24 hours of listing in the market, it is reported that the property had been purchased by a Lions fan. Earlier this year, another NFL Coach who was the former coach of Green Bay Packers, Jerry Montgomery had also sold his home in Suamico for $815,000.
